ABOUT ARÊTE ELITE TRACK CLUB
Arete Elite was founded by it's head Coach, Allison Halverson. Aside from coaching, Allison is still currently competing in professional track and field, specializing in the Heptathlon. Her accomplishments include the 2010 and 2011 Junior Nationals Champion, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Trials participant, five-time NCAA All-American, 2014 NCAA DI Heptathlon runner-up, and a member of six USA national teams. Allison finished the 2017-2018 season with the second highest heptathlon score in the U.S.
Allison graduated from San Diego State University in 2014 with a B.S. in Kinesiology with emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition, and Health. She combines her experience competing at an elite level in track and field with her knowledge in Kinesiology to create practices and coach athletes in all areas of the sport. Allison is certified as a USATF Level 1 and Level 2 coach, and she has experience coaching at all levels from Elementary, Middle, and High School, to College and Masters athletes.
Coach Halverson is able to use her wide ranging experience and knowledge to tailor training sessions to any level of athlete at any age. The only thing that matches her drive to become an Olympian is her desire to spread track and field to more people and help them get better with proper technique so they can set new personal bests and be able to become athletes for the rest of their lives.

Arête Elite Track Club was founded in 2016 by head Coach Allison Halverson. She started the club because she wanted to give back to her community something she never had growing up. She wanted young athletes to have access to learning about the sport of Track and Field and to learn the fundamentals and fun of all the events.
